7aam Arivu music launch in Malaysia?

7aam Arivu music launch in Malaysia?
By Ambili [August 28, 2011]   <br />7aam Arivu music launch in Malaysia?

Recently, we reported that Sun TV has bagged the satellite rights of ace director A.R. Murugadoss' much awaited 7aam Arivu, which has Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. The film is likely to grace theatres on October 26, 2011. Now the latest buzz is that the music launch will take place in Malaysia on September 22, 2011. The story is said to revolve around a time machine which is brought to India by a scientist. 7aam Arivu is a sci-fi thriller in which Suriya plays a triple role: a circus artist, a Buddhist monk and a scientist. Vietnamese stunt actor Johnny Tri Nguyen will play the baddie.

The film is made with a whopping budget of Rs. 84 crores and interestingly, this is the highest budget film in Suriya's career till date. Recently, producer Udayanidhi Stalin and director Murugadoss has chosen US based Stan Winston Studios, which has created some mesmerizing graphics in Cameroon's Avatar and Shankar's Enthiran, to do the visual effects. The technical team includes Harris Jayaraj (music), Ravi K. Chandran (cinematography) and Anthony Gonsalves (editing).

Siddique's 'tuta-futa' Hindi!

After spending more than two decades in Malayalam, director Siddique is debuting in Bollywood with upcoming Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Bodyguard, remake of his own Malayalam super hit with the same title. (Notably, Bodyguard was remade in Tamil as Kaavalan by the original director and is being remade in Telugu as Ganga - The Bodyguard.)

While the film is releasing on August 31, the director said that he found Bollywood creatively satisfying. "The market of the Hindi film industry is bigger in comparison to the South. Here one can think big and execute it as well. There are no limitations. It is a creatively satisfying place for any filmmaker. One does not need to worry about funds. The bigger you imagine, the bigger your dreams are, the bigger a film can be," Siddique said.

"I am very happy to enter Bollywood, that too with Salman Khan. I feel very lucky to have him in my first Bollywood project. One does not need to give him briefing. He understands all the aspects of film making," he added.

Though the director is of the opinion that language is not a barrier, it certainly posed problems for him when he had to interact with people during the shooting. "It wasn't that easy for me to make a film here because I was out of my comfort zone and my working style. I was also among new people. The most difficult part was that I didn't know the language and so it became a little difficult to make others understand with my 'tuta-futa' (broken) Hindi."

He also said before foraying into Bollywood, he saw over 60 Hindi films to understand how Bollywood movies are made.

Happy Birthday Vishal!

Vishal Krishna celebrates his birthday today. Born on August 29th, 1977 to noted producer G.K. Reddy, he is known for his height and physique, which he?s complemented with his six pack.

Always interested in production, he majored in Visual Communications from Loyola College, Chennai and landed an apprenticeship with the great Ram Gopal Varma. But Dame Destiny stepped in and he found himself in Arjun?s production house, learning the ropes to make a great entertainer.

Working as Arjun?s assistant in Vedham and Ezhumalai, he learnt a lot about directing and also picked up the nuances of performing in front of the camera. Destiny led him to accept the lead role in Chellame and the rest, as they say, is history. Vishal is so thorough that he went back to the grassroots level and learnt acting from a Koothupatrai troupe. Not for him the fancy and flashy finishing schools that many Kollywood kids go to with nothing to show for it at the end of it all.

His three Tamil movies (Chellame, Sandakozhi and Thimiru) were back-to-back hits, quite a feat for a newcomer. All three were dubbed into Telugu (Prema Chadarangam, Pandem Kodi and Pogaru respectively) and were very successful. Salute (Telugu), produced simultaneously as Satyam (Tamil) has created a record of sorts, both for production values as well as his performance standards.

And then came Bala's Avan Ivan in which he played the role of a person with a squint. He is currently busy with Prabhu Deva's Vedi opposite Sameera Reddy. Keep visiting Galatta.com for the latest updates.

Galatta.com wishes Vishal a very happy birthday and all the very best for all his future endeavours.
