In an unprecedented move, Radaan Mediaworks has bought the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Thala Ajith's 50th movie Mankatha. Radikaa Sarathkumar posted an update on her social networking page about the same.
It may be recollected that it was first announced that Studio Green had bought the movie from Dhayanidhi Alagiri and his Cloud Nine Movies. But in the past few days, after a lot of speculation, it was announced that Sun Pictures would finally have the theatrical and satellite rights of the movie.
The silver lining through all this change of hands is that it has not affected the release of the movie, which is scheduled for August 31. Directed by Venkat Prabhu and with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Mankatha also stars Trisha, Arjun, Vaibhav, Ashwin Kakumanu, Laskhmi Rai and Premji. Music for the movie released under the Sony Music label has already caught the fancy of the fans and added to the excitement of the movie.
