UTV Pictures' Deiva Thiirumagal started its bumper promo campaign in Chennai recently. The film, which bagged a clean U certificate from the Censor Board recently, is expected to release in more than 350 screens. Reportedly the Censor Board officials were very impressed with the film and also rated it as one of the best performances in Vikram's career. The film is expected to grace theatres on July 15, 2011.
Like his earlier movies Anniyan (Aparichitudu), Pithamagan (Siva Putrudu), Kanthaswamy (Mallanna) and Raavanan, Vikram's Deiva Thirumagal is also being dubbed in Telugu (as Naana). Music composed by G.V. Prakash is already topping the charts. Starring Vikram as Krishna, a mentally challenged adult with the maturity of a five-year-old, the film has Anushka playing the role of a lawyer, while Amala Paul plays an important role. Nirav handles the camera while Madaraspattinam Vijay is the director.
